We're excited to provide Group Creators with more and better tools for communicating to their Group Members. 

With our new Group Event feature, Group Creators and/or Members can now create group events and share them with other group members. Upload images, flyers or any other additional information for the events. Event creators can also generate embed code for their events and place it wherever they want outside your community. The module is packaged with automatic installer.

List of features:

Create/Edit group events
Event creator, group creator and website admin can edit Event description, date, place and other information.

Make events recurrent
No need to manually duplicate repeating Group Events. When creating a Group Event, make it recurrent and it will be automatically added to every date it is scheduled for.

Receive email alerts on event updates
Your members won’t miss any update on Event they are going to attend

Attach downloadable files (flyers, images, docs, etc.) to Group Events
Event creators can add flyers, docs and other files for events. Admin manages size and number of files that can be uploaded.

Possibility to send updates on created events to event guests.

Mark events Sponsored
Group creators can mark events sponsored and define terms of sponsorship. Sponsored events are displayed at the top of the events list. There’s no functionality for accepting payments for making events sponsored, so group creators will need to handle payments on their own.

Upload event image
Add a thumbnail to Group Event.

Google Maps integration
Members can use Google maps for events.

Embed event code
Share your Event information on other websites! Tell everyone what’s on and get more traffic to you site!

Group members now can send messages to other members of their groups - either to a single member, or to several members or to entire group.

Group Events admin/user settings

Group creator can:

• enable/disable Group Events creation
• edit Group Events (name, place, description, etc.)
• delete Group Events
• enable/disable email notifications on Event update
• enable/disable sendmail to Group members feature
• make Group Events sponsored and arrange them in special order (if there is more than 1 sponsored Group Event)
• show/hide thumbnails of non-sponsored group events in the list of group events

Group members can:

• create Group Event
• edit his/her Group Event
• delete his/her Group Event
• invite other Group members to his/her Event
• upload Group Event image
• attach additional files to an Event
• use Google maps with created Group Event
• generate embed code for created Group Event
• send mass email to other Group members
